“It’s a cliché to say that we are all creative as children but, as with most clichés, it is true. As we move through education, we become more scared of getting things wrong and there is more and more emphasis on quantifiable subjects; repeating things you have learnt and being ‘right'. Being creative means being willing to enter into unknown spaces, taking risks and be open minded, this means outcomes are unpredictable and that is scary. But creativity is there, for everyone, if we can produce and speak without fear or ridicule then creativity will become easier for all of us whether in the creative industries or not.”
